My name is LaTrisha Vetaw, and I am excited to announce that I am running for re-election to the Minneapolis City Council. It has been an honor and a joy to represent Ward 4 at the City Hall. I wake up every day motivated to serve the residents of Ward 4. My favorite parts of this job are: Helping you all solve your problems (big or small) and meeting Northsiders.

My #1 priority when I first ran for election was public safety. I am proud of the public safety progress I've helped make this year. I chaired the Public Health and Safety Committee. I helped select the new Commissioner of Public Safety and our new Police Chief. I secured $300k in funding for lighting improvements on the Northside and $1 million for community safety efforts aimed at reducing violent crime.

I love this city, and my heart belongs to the Northside. There is nowhere else I would rather call home. I hope I can count on your support as I seek re-election. My promise to you is that I will continue to show up every day and fight for the Northside at City Hall.
